Economic hub - In the heart of the Monts d'Or, the western economic hub of the Metropolis of Lyon, called Techlid, is home to the headquarters of a number of large companies in the region. The site is located about fifteen minutes by car from the Lyon Perrache and Lyon Part-Dieu stations, and is perfectly served by public transport (bus from the Vaise station), as well as by major communication axes such as the A6 motorway, the A89-A6 link, the northern ring road and the RD 306 and 307.
Cultural attraction
Basilica of Notre Dame de Fourvière
Culture - The Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica is the work of architects Pierre Bossan and Sainte-Marie Perrin. It was built thanks to a public subscription in 1872 and consecrated in 1896. The basilica is located at the top of "the hill that prays". It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, who according to the Christians of the city has saved the Lyonnais many times (from epidemics as well as invasions). Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is today considered an emblem of the city of Lyon. It welcomes more than 2.5 million pilgrims and visitors each year.
Activity
Parc de la Tête d'OR
Point of interest - Located in the sixth arrondissement of Lyon, the Tête-d'Or park is the city's largest park - but also the largest intramural urban park in Europe. It opened in 1857: the same year as Central Park in New York! It is the ideal place for outdoor activities. You can choose to visit the free zoological park, the rose garden, the botanical garden or even take a train ride or take a pedal boat on the lake. The more athletic can also go jogging in peace or take the tour by bike. You will easily find something to eat throughout the park. If you are visiting Lyon with the family, your children will no doubt enjoy this place.
